From Consumer Products to Healthcare Solutions

My Objectives: Creating Tangible and Meaningful Experiences in Healthcare for HCPs, Patients, and Patient Caregivers.

My career began as an Industrial Designer in consumer product industries. I have designed recognizable, successful, and award-winning consumer products which were sold through retail channels such as Apple, Target, Best Buy, and Guitar Center.

However, my inclination to think strategically provided motivation for more complicated challenges while my ability for empathic design looked to create more positively impact. These two factors led me to Healthcare were I am passionate to help improve care by HCPs for patients and create positive, impactful healthcare experiences. The more complex the challenge the more engaged I am.

Exposure to numerous Design For Manufacturing processes (Hard Goods, Soft Goods, Furniture, Environmental, Rapid Prototyping) have (a) Reliably proven to allow quick translation of Design Research insights into tangible solutions, (b) Helped foster productive collaboration with multi-disciplined and technical teams, and (c) Provided the ability to identify and address development challenges much earlier in the timeline; thereby reducing inefficiencies to reach milestones and decreasing overall risk to patient outcomes.

My experience with human-centered design processes enables me to be flexible and adaptable to the unique capabilities, climate, and objectives of my partners. Placing the audience at the center of development as early as possible and allowing the needs of the audience to drive development has always been the critical success factors for every program I have contributed to.
